Tresham Audio Amplifier Repairs
Tresham Audio DR 102 Stereo Power Amplifier
Got one of these without the power supply. After putting it together and powering it up only one channel was okay, the other was low and took gob fulls of current in time with the signal. I replaced the MOS-FET's and went over the board as there were some suspicious looking solder joints. It ended up working okay, the channel I had replaced the MOS-FET's was getting warmer that the other so I had to adjust the quiescent, might get round to putting the originals back in one day. The regulated section looked to have been cooking for several years and needed the two electrolytic's replacing and also a couple of resistors had begun to crack, sounded okay though.

This would loose a channel occasionally, the speaker relay needed replacing, a plug in 12 V, 8 pin. The Bakelite cased capacitors were leaking; the 22µF 40V, and 100µF 25V and were replaced, sounded really good after. Tresham were bought by Tannoy shortly after starting up.
